About Lynda Pompa Montes de Oca

Lynda Pompa Montes de Oca

With a strong foundation in holistic health, I blend my expertise in nutrition, herbal medicine, and naturopathy to help you uncover and address the root causes of your symptoms, not just manage them. I believe healing happens when we treat the body as a whole and honour the connection between physical, emotional, and nervous system health.

In my practice, I take a personalised, evidence-based approach to care, offering realistic, nourishing solutions that work with your body, not against it. My goal is to empower you to take an active role in your wellbeing, using food, natural therapies, and gentle lifestyle shifts to create balance and vitality.

Like many of my clients, my path into this work was deeply personal. I’ve walked through periods of burnout, chronic stress, anxiety, and the long shadows of unresolved trauma. I know what it’s like to feel exhausted but unable to slow down, stuck in survival mode with no idea how to truly restore balance. Healing didn’t happen overnight, it took nervous system support, nourishment, and learning how to feel safe in my body again. That lived experience shapes everything I do today and gives me deep empathy for the journey you might be on.

I also understand how frustrating and isolating digestive issues can be. For years, I dealt with bloating, discomfort, food sensitivities, and the constant sense that my gut was “off”, even when everything looked normal on paper. Healing my digestive system required more than just a list of foods to avoid; it meant addressing underlying imbalances, nervous system regulation, and restoring trust in my body. This experience taught me that gut health isn’t just about what you eat, it’s about how your body feels when it receives it.

I also hold a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Psychology and Human Development, which deepens my understanding of how trauma, stress, and emotional experiences affect the body. I’m trained in trauma-informed practices and coaching, with specific knowledge in PTSD, abuse recovery, and nervous system regulation and I bring this lens into every session, creating a safe, compassionate space for your healing journey.

Whether you’re navigating fatigue, burnout, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, or the deeper effects of chronic stress, I’m here to support you with care that’s both clinically grounded and deeply human.

I’m proudly registered with Clinical Nutritionists Aotearoa NZ, the Naturopaths and Medical Herbalists of New Zealand (Inc), and the New Zealand Association of Medical Herbalists.
